This series of CLAMP NUTS has the threads specified as FINE under the Unified system. These CLAMP NUTS better serve where a closer ratio is desired between the static strength of the shaft or spindle and the thread, where length of thread engagement is limited, where a smaller lead angle is desired, or where a thinner tubular wall for the external threaded member is desired. The external FINE threads have greater tensile stress area than comparable sizes with COARSE threads (about 10 percent stronger due to this greater cross section area). Thus FINE threads become very beneficial when resistance to stripping of threads equals or exceeds the tensile load carrying capacity of the externally threaded member. Lastly they can be more precisely adjusted because of their smaller helix angle.

This model is made of austenitic corrosion resistant steel bright finished and austenitic stainless steel socket head cap screw.
