Series Name Description
N Retaining Nut Retaining nuts which account for the largest portion of current applications.
NE Retaining Nut Retaining nuts of the original design of 11 threads per inch (TPI) replaced by the AN series with 12 and 8 TPI in the 1930s. Required for some MRO replacements.
N-000 Retaining Nut Thin section retaining nuts in larger sizes used where smaller sections are desirable, and on adapter sleeves with bores over 4-5/16 inches. Under size 022 use the NT series.
KM Retaining Nut Retaining nuts with ISO metric threads.
MS-172236-58 Retaining Nut Retaining nuts designed for aeronautical requirements, made of hardened alloy steel, and used in applications where a hardened retaining nut is desirable for increased load capacity yet reduced size in the assembly.
MS-19068-001 Retaining Nut Retaining nuts wich meet Department of Defence Military standard MIL-N-21337 and have been Magnetic Particle inspected for flaws in the metal.
MS-19068-002 Retaining Nut Retaining nuts wich meet Department of Defence Military standard MIL-N-21337 and have been Magnetic Particle inspected for flaws in the metal. Zinc plated for corrosion resistance.
MS-19068-003 Retaining Nut Retaining nuts wich meet Department of Defence Military standard MIL-N-21337 and have been Magnetic Particle inspected for flaws in the metal. Made of stainless steel.
W Lockwasher Lockwasher for use with the N-AN series retaining nuts.
W-000 Lockwasher Lockwasher for use with the N-000 series retaining nuts.
MB Lockwasher Lockwasher for use with the KM series retaining nuts.
MS172201-23 Lockwasher Hardened lockwasher for use with the MS172236-MS172258 series retaining nuts.
